Cairns (QLD) - Saturday 11th May 2013

Please note Cairns has been abandoned @7.20am due to heavy rainfall and the subsequent state of the track.

The club will conduct a “phantom” betting meeting in lieu with full tote, bookmaker and hospitality facilities operating.

Due to the abandonment, additional races have been scheduled for the following:

Townsville (Qld) - Wednesday 8th May 2013

Please note the official barrier trials scheduled for Townsville on Wednesday 8th May have been cancelled/abandoned due to insufficient nominations. 

Unofficial jumpouts will be held for those horses that nominated for the barrier trials.  Please contact the club for further details.

Tamworth (NSW) - Wednesday 8th May 2013

Please be advised that the barrier trials scheduled for Tamworth on Wednesday 8^th May 2013 have been cancelled due to lack of nominations.

Barrier trials in the H&NWDRA are being conducted at the following venues in the next fortnight:

Gunnedah – Sunday 12^th May

Tamworth – Monday 20^th May

There are also trials being held at Wyong on Monday 13^th May.

Doomben Barrier Trials (Qld) - Thursday 18th April 2013

Please note Doomben barrier trials set down for tomorrow have been abandoned due to the condition of the track.

Grass jumpouts will be held at Deagon commencing at 8am tomorrow, Thursday 18th April.

Please ring Eagle Farm trackwork hut (0408 739 679) by 7am tomorrow morning to nominate for these grass jumpouts.

Doomben (QLD) - Saturday 13th April 2013

Please be advised that after a track inspection at 5:45am this morning the race meeting scheduled for Doomben today, Saturday, 13^th of April, 2013 has been abandoned due to significant rain and the subsequent state of the track.

Racing Queensland will today work closely with the Brisbane Racing Club to look at any program amendments.

Monto (Qld) - Saturday 13th April 2013

The annual Monto RC meeting (Russell Memorial race day) scheduled for Saturday 13 April 2013 has been cancelled.

The racecourse has been inundated by floodwaters on three occasions this year and the damage caused in the latest flooding will not see the track be able to be remediated prior to the scheduled date. 

RQL will discuss with the club, options for a replacement meeting at a later date.

Please note the twilight meeting advertised for Toowoomba on Saturday June 1 has been cancelled and will now be conducted at the Sunshine Coast Turf Club.

The program for the Sunshine Coast meeting is as follows:

Randwick Barrier Trials (NSW) - Friday 24th May 2013

Please note that due to inclement weather and the state of the track the Randwick Barrier Trials scheduled for Friday 24 May have now been postponed until Monday 27 May.

Whilst this will now mean that Randwick and Rosehill will trial simultaneously on Monday, the number of nominations at both trials meant that where possible they needed to proceed, and there are no other “free days” next week within a reasonable time frame to postpone to.     

Gold Coast Trials (Qld) - Tuesday 14th May 2013

Please be advised due to recent rainfall the above trials have been postponed until Tuesday May 21, 2013.  Nominations close 12 noon Monday May 20 with RISA Service Centre.

Jumpouts will be held on the velvet track tomorrow – nominations close tomorrow morning at 6am with the Club.

Randwick Barrier Trials (NSW) - Friday 10th May 2013

Please note that following a number of requests the Randwick Barrier Trials scheduled for Friday 10 May 2013 will now be brought forward to Friday 3 May 2013. 

Nominations for these trials will close with the RISA Service Centre at 11am on Monday 29 April 2013.

Lismore (NSW) - Monday 29th April 2013

Please be advised that the Lismore Turf Club TAB meeting scheduled for Monday 29^th April 2013 has been transferred and will now be conducted on the Ballina Racecourse.

The transfer is due to track maintenance issues that require urgent attention.

Due to the transfer the following amendment in distances have been made:

BENCHMARK 70 HANDICAP was 2100m is now 1900m

BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP was 1100m is now 1000m

BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP was 1516m is now 1600m

CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1300m (Unchanged)

F&M MAIDEN HANDICAP was 1100m is now 1000m

CG&E MAIDEN HANDICAP was 1100m is now 1000m

MAIDEN PLATE 1400m (Unchanged)

Weights for this meeting will be released later this afternoon, with acceptances due at 9am Wednesday, 24^th April 2013.

Sunshine Coast (QLD) - Sunday 14th April 2013

Due to continuing rain being received in SE Qld,  the decision has been made to transfer tomorrow’s meeting from the Course Proper to the Cushion Track. With this transfer, the following distance amendments have been made:

Race 1 – 1800m now 2000m

Races 4 & 6 – 1200m now 1100m

All other distances are correct as advertised.

Eagle Farm (QLD) - Wednesday 17th April 2013

Due to the abandonment of today’s meeting scheduled for Doomben, the following amendments have been made to accommodate racing this week:

The meeting scheduled for Wednesday, 17^th of April, 2013 at Brisbane Racing Club Eagle Farm will be transferred to Brisbane Racing Club @ Doomben.  Due to this change of venue, the following distance amendments have been made:

1400m will now become 1350m

1000m will now become 1010m

1500m will now become 1600m

The rail position for Wednesday at Doomben will be Out 4.5m the Entire Circuit.

With the loss of today’s meeting at Doomben, the Queensland Day Listed 1350m race will be transferred to Doomben on  Wednesday, 17^th of April as accepted, with all scratchings reinstated.

Goulburn (NSW) - Sunday 28th April 2013

Please be advised that due to track renovations taking place at the Goulburn racecourse, the meeting set down for Goulburn on Sunday 28 April 2013 has been TRANSFERRED and will now be conducted on the Nowra racecourse.

The meeting will be run under the Goulburn & District Race Club and the programme remains unchanged with no race or distance amendments required.

Due to overnight rain the official barrier trials being held at Sunshine Coast Tuesday 9th April will now be conducted on the Cushion Track – distances 1000m and 400m.

Narrabri (NSW) - Saturday 6th April 2013

Please be advised that the postponed Narrabri meeting from Saturday, 23^rd March 2013 has been re-scheduled, and the meeting will now be held on Saturday, 6^th April 2013.

The programme for the meeting is as follows:

1 – $12,000 Narrabri Cup – Benchmark 55 Handicap (1200m)

2 – $8,000 Wee Waa Cup – Benchmark 55 Handicap (1500m)

3 – $6,000 Benchmark 50 Handicap (1930m)

4 – $6,000 Class 1 Handicap (1000m)

5 – $6,000 Class 1 Handicap (1500m)

6 – $6,000 Maiden Plate (1200m)

Nominations for the meeting will close with RISA Service Centre on Tuesday 2^nd April 2013 at 11am.  Acceptances close on Thursday 4^th April 2013 at 9am.

Cranbourne Trials (Vic) - Tuesday 2nd April 2013

Please note that the flat trials scheduled for the Cranbourne Training Complex (CTC) on Tuesday 2 April 2013 have been transferred to Traralgon.

A drainage inspection was recently completed on the outside grass track at the CTC, and the investigation identified weaknesses in the drainage infrastructure. The works at Cranbourne are nearing completion, and a short period of consolidation is required.

Nominations close 12pm, Thursday 28th March 2013.
