CHANGES TO TASMANIAN PREMIERSHIP SCORING FROM AUGUST 1, 2012
From the start of the 2012/13 season on 1 August, Tasracing will be amending the recording of dead heats in its Jockey and Trainer Premierships.
Dead heats will now be scored as one (1) win for jockeys and trainers in the premiership table rather than as a half (½) win.
This change reflects how dead heats are recognised in horse form, in handicapping and in the calculation of apprentice claims throughout Tasmania.
Please note: This change does not affect previous seasons.
